Catch up!

Catch up blog...and I wish I had more to say LOL! Everything in the "Just the 6 of us" world is actually going pretty good. Markus is staying super busy with work and is gone most of the day. He told me yesterday that there has been days in the past where is hasn't seen Cade. I looked at him for a second and realized he is right. He leaves for work when Cade is sleeping and comes home some night when Cade is sleeping. Poor guy:/. Of course Markus loves his is job and we are very fortunate that he has a good one! Colton is doing really well in school always busy and spends most of his time telling me he can not wait to be grown up! I wish he would slow down. He walk and talks like a teen. His taste buds must be changing, he eats just about anything and tries everything!!! Caleb, well he is busy too being like any other 5 year old. He is so excited to start kindergarten next year and he can not wait to ride the bus with his big brother. Video games are still his number one priority. His new thing well I guess it's not new but it's not going anywhere. He will not eat anything RED! It's hilarious:) Sydney, she is really changing. Her talking is really improving and in fact sometimes it has improved more than it should Ha! She is very into clothes, shoes, and makeup! Very girl but still has a rough side to her. I mean who wouldn't growing up with brothers;) Cade, well hmm! haha! He is like every other 2 year old. He is all over the place into EVERYTHING! He keeps me on my toes most of the day. He must be growing because he eats all the time. Favorite thing right now to chow on would have to be corn dogs and green beans with ranch LOL! What a combo?!?! I just recently had to go clothes shopping for him yet again! He went from 18 month old clothes to 2t and even some 3t shirts LOL he is a big boy:) I did break down and bought him some Nike tennis shoes which are super cute! He is has being wearing stride rite shoes his whole life and now that his foot is slimming he can actually wear other or brands. As for me I am working out every day again. Trying to get ready for swimsuit season! I went to Nordstrom Rack and did a little shopping for me:) I needed new clothes!!! I did end up finding my swimsuit there it's adorable! Its Couture! Sooo excited to wear it:) Other than that I stay busy with the kids and Markus:) Making sure everyone has what they need and our household is running. I am still on my financial freedom journey and have been doing pretty good with our budget! I slowed down on my SStarbucks and Target visits LOL!!!

Well that's pretty much it.

So done with Winter and so ready for Spring!

Married with Children...wait...Married with 4 Children!!

Like any girl I had a BIG dream! Married, 2 kids, a boy and a girl, big white house with a white picket fence, some kind of " Mom" car in the drive way. What girl doesn't dream of that??? So 20 years later I got my dream alright! I am happily married we have 4 amazing kids, 3 boys and 1 girls, and we have white house welll kind of, its dull white rock, and picket fence, try chain length fence LOL! No I am only kidding! I love my life  but is it what I had planned? Kind of...

A trip into the Life of Shannon Reagor ( once known as Shannon full of energy, fashion savvy, sports car driving Price)

Well let's see where to begin..I am mom of 4 kids yes 4 KIDS omg! I get that a lot..people look at me like I am crazy or like I am kidding! What is wrong with having 4 kids, was it planned hmmm no..but that doesn't mean that I am not totally in love with them..I AM! I also stay at home and I know what your thinking, this girl is going to go on and on and about how perfect her house is and dinner on the table at 6, everyone caught up on teeth cleaning and haircuts, dogs always at the vet on time, LOL! HA! I wish and if you ever meet someone like send her my way!  SAHM is a hard job, no I don't have my kids on some perfect schedule and well is dinner on the table at 6 most of the time. Is it home cooked?? well that's a whole different story! Yes I do take my kids to the dentist and it happens if and when I bribe them well enough, and I pry their hands from the walls and drag them to the car. Our dogs well they get there when they get there..once a year for sure! This blog isn't about hating on SAHM or boring you with my non so eventful life, its just about me and who Shannon blah blah blah Price is now:) I do my best as a mom, and a wife and sometimes there isn't a whole lot left for "just me". I think that once we make a decision to be a mom and wife we devote parts of ourselves to those choices. There are days where I think about the times I could sleep in bed all day and live in my one bedroom apartment, drive my mustang. Who doesn't think of the good old days! Would I go back? Heck yes!! for about a day...or two LOL! I have changed countless dirty diapers and have had numerous cold meals, and all for what. All for my kiddos to come running into my arms with smiles on the faces and tell me how awesome I am. There is nothing more rewarding! As for being a wife, well that was a hard one for me. I was a selfish person I will admit it and when you choose to be a wife or mom you have to be self less. I couldn't imagine being with a better guy. He is my best friend and in his own little ways he lets me know how much he appreciates me! Sometimes I dont' get the hints but eventually I'll catch on;) Like today he texted me I shaved my face clean for you...hmmm OKAY??? I kinda like you all rough looking but whatever ..thanks I guess?? Like I said he makes me feel special LOL! Apparently he shaved his face clean because he thought I found him more attractive all cleaned up??

Anyway, as for me and my life right now, do I have everything down as a mom?? I prob should since I have 4 of them ...should have a 1 and 4 chance of getting it right:)! No I don't have it down yet but I am working on it. I do what I can and I actually raise our kids a lot like Markus and I were raised, we were raised different but the same in some ways and so we try to raise our kids with a little bit of both of us, if that makes sense. Now I give in a lot easier than Markus and that's really how my mom was. Its funny I will catch myself saying something or doing something that I know my mom did or even Brenda ( mother in law) told me she used to do with Markus. Then in totally shock I will shake my head and whisper OMG I am her LOL;) Just kidding!!! Do I mess up, YES, who doesn't? Are my kids happy? Well hell they better be, we spoil the crap out of them, show them as much love as we possibly can, teach them to be polite and respectful kids!

Me now versus me then....clothes? Ha what clothes, you mean those yoga pants and tanks?? My hair??well let just say it's seen better days. Make up...what is that? Getting to pee by myself ...you mean its not normal for your two year to be right there with you??? I had no clue!!  Now me then, sooooo different. Clothes well  I did pretty well keeping up with current fashion and shopped at the mall! Could I throw 50 bucks down on a top walk away and not think twice? You freaking betcha!!! My hair, done every 4 weeks. Make up, everyday and loved me som MAC, going pee by myself oh how I miss those days:)

Ya know the more I think about it the more I realize that no matter what I can actually still have all of the me thens. I just need to bring Shannon, full of energy fashion savvy sports car driving Price back !! Well minus the sports car driving!!! That we will glady replace SUV driving LOL!!!

Laters!!!

A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.

Friendship, what does it mean? Well honestly I don't think it has a simple meaning.
I think there are levels of friendship. A friend can be little more than an acquaintance or a friend could be someone with whom you are so close with that you share an unwavering, lifelong bond. The best of friends can be trusted with your heart and your well-being. You can tell them anything and they will not be judgmental but be objective and fair. They can be trusted because they always speak the truth. They will allow you to make your own decisions and your own mistakes, as long as they aren’t catastrophic, and will be there to support you should you fail. They thrive on seeing you excel, even when you overshadow them, because life is not all about them, it is also about those they care about. They reach down and pull you up when you are troubled. They praise you when you’ve done well and correct you when you have not. A good friend is what everyone wants but what everyone does not always see. Sometimes we drive them away because we ourselves aren’t good friends. A good friend will be there forever.

Random!! Yep just pure randomness:)

Let's see where to start I have so much I want to write about, but have no clue how to start it?! You ever get that way. All day long I have moments where I say, YES that is what I will blog about today..and then I sit down and forget it all ha! That's so me:) Hmm well I started this blog because I wanted to be able to look back and know what was going on and what new adventures were in store for this Reagor clan! Well where to begin, how about I talk about how everyone in this family is doing. Markus, that's a great start! He is working his so hard. Things have really picked up at work so his days are not your typical home by 5. It's hard but it sure does pay off in the end. But one thing we do get when he gets home after the kids go to bed he always makes me a warm fire to relax by its kinda our thing:) It has helped that the Texas weather has been rather cold.Colton, well let's see he is loving the first grade! He is doing rather well. Colton has 4 loose teeth and he is too funny, he keeps wiggling them so they will fall out and he can get money! His favorite things to do now are of course anything to do with video games! He is growing like a weed. I  swear that boy is going to be taller than me:)  Caleb, hmm yes very into video games too! He is very excited to be starting kindergarten this year and gets to ride the bus with his big brother:) I on the other hand can not believe my little man is going to elementary school! And I swear he is going thru a growth spurt he eats and eats all day long. He favorite thing are turkey sandwiches and he hates anything red;) Like having to do with food. Sydney well she is 3 going on 13! She told me that her name is Princess Belle and her boyfriend (yes boyfriend) is named Prince Charming and he dances with her. She is the apple of my eye. I adore her and what she is all about. She is very girly but still can hang with her brothers! She is into baby dolls and barbie dolls. I am so excited to see who she is. The conversations she has with Markus and I are unforgettable:) Cade, Oh Cade! That kid keeps me on my toes! If I turn my back he is climbing on something, and the higher the better. You can't keep a diaper on this kid for anything, which brings us to potty training!!! YAY!  Last one people:) This will be a diaper free house!!! Hmm well favorite thing to eat has to be corn dogs hands down. He can put them away. He is picking up on new words every day. Right now everyone is Mom;) and the new word is MINE!!! Oh that word....He is an amazing little boy and has completed our family. As for me well, I joined a moms group today and am super excited! I have been getting back to the good old working out! Gotta love our treadmill and my P90 kick my ass X dvds!! Favorite thing to do right now is to blog and read. Current book..Guilanna and Bill "I do Know What" it's fantastic!

Well I think I have rambled enough.

Mom Groups here I come!

So today I joined a mom group here in Austin and I am super pumped to get back into it:) The group I joined sounds amazing and the groups has kiddos of all ages which is great. I am so excited to get out and meet some new moms and for Sydney and Cade to being meeting some new friends. I also love the support you get and the friendships. Dont' get me wrong I adore my kids and LOVE being a stay at home mom but some adult interaction would be great, especially from other moms! Super excited and off to my first playdate next Wednesday with this new group! Hopefully they like us!

Mans Best Friend

A dog has no use for fancy cars or big homes or designer clothes. A water logged stick will do just fine. A dog doesn't care if your rich or poor, educated or illiterate, clever or dull. Give him your heart and he will give you his.

I love this part of the movie Marley and Me. One of the best movies made. As a dog owner, I realized they are part of the family. They are more like my kids! They are always there for you and can sense if you sick or upset. They lay by the front door protecting their family. Dogs are mans best friend. No matter how many times you come home and your 80 lb lab jumps on your white shirt with muddy feet and you yell at him to go away he still comes back tail wagging. No matter how many 80 dollar shoes they have eaten you love them.

Anyway I just finished that movie and realized that our dogs will forever love us no matter what.

P.S. Must watch Marley and Me and be prepared to cry...its a very touching movie and if you aren't a dog owner, you will be one soon!!!

A mother holds her child's hand for a little while but holds their hearts forever.

So I've  come to realize that no matter how much I try to keep my kiddos babies forever, they are going up fast right before my eyes. While I was creating my blog I was looking thru old pictures and it brought tears to my eyes. These kids have changed and evolved into little people:) They are all so independent! When I sit down and talk to the boys they amaze me, they are so full of life and just love asking questions of what it's going to be like when they are grown ups! I am on the other hand telling them to slow down enjoy this time, I know moms and dads get grumpy and sometimes life doesn't seem fair but hang in there because one day they will realize that we aren't the dumbest people on Earth LOL!!! Time to time I get frustrated and joke about how nice it will be to have our children all grown up and on their own but who am I kidding??? I can't stand it! I miss them every time we are away from them. I was talking to an older woman in HEB and she told me to cherish each and eveyr day. That one day they will be moving out and moving on as adults and starting their own life! She said it happens in a blink of an eye. She is right I still remember being 16 and could not wait to get the heck out of my parents.., what I wouldn't give to go back LOL no, just kidding! Anyway this woman had a lot of great advice but one thing she did tell me was do not take them for granted and that one day I will look back and realize that time did move too fast and that my little boys and my baby girl are all grown up! So if you are a parent, cherish each day because one day they will walk out that door and you will have to let them go.
